UVEX Sports helmets range from the FP1, the lightest bike helmet on the market, worn by eight cyclists during the Olympic Games in Athens, to a full-face protection helmet and even two full-feature junior helmets for young cycling enthusiasts.
All UVEX helmets are made of Makrolon, a high-tech material from Bayer Corporation. UVEX helmets are also manufactured using inmold technology. With inmold technology, the shock-absorbing, high-density polystyrene (EPS) is directly foamed into the microshell, providing greater stability, lighter weight and the ability for more ventilation openings. The helmets also feature UVEX’s Individual Adapting System (IAS) with an adjusting knob that can be operated with just one hand, guaranteeing a good, snug fit; monomatic chinstraps which can also be operated with one hand, even while riding; and Bug Stop mesh fabric covering the forward ventilation openings protect against insects getting into the helmet. |
